Shane those arms aloft will come and i'm sure it will be this year mate. I cant get the powder any more but have half a small pot of PSP22 lemon flavour you can have when you collect the gels i bought it for Majorca last year but didnt use it all and don't use it over here.

I'd rather a photo showing the sponsors logos on the front of a zipped up jersey being shown with hands held aloft but alas that's not likely!

Thanks will get the gels hopefully this week from you, text to arrange a time. Not got any more mix yet but now all out of last year's pot.

Unfortunately chaps that photo was taken at just after the neutralised flag had been taken in and we were motoring up to 25+. Service was a bit slow as the guy got out, ran towards me, then turned back realising he didn't have a wheel in his hand then tried to fit it in the frame and making a total pig's ear of it. I had to take over the QR duties as that was seemingly a tad too much. The push off or tow was none existant too. Turned myself inside out to catch but it was never going to happen given we shortly turned into the main 10% climb. Race was over before it began.

I did 2 laps in the most horrific conditions, going up Portsdown hill over looking Portsmouth was possibly one of the worst conditions I've ridden in. Rain horizontal and cross winds whipping the wheel sideways. Would have ridden my clinchers if I#d known it was that bad up there. The world went a bit dizzy trying to keep a good speed up it. Really gutted as I think I could have held it in the bunch when others were peeling out of it and turning back. I wasn't too far behind the trail group at one stage and keeping within eyesight despite no shelter on my tod.

Oh well.

Not liking the look of this:

Hope it was just a flat and a spare wheel was available...

There are the usual suspects:

Ben Stockdale
Backstedt
Opie
Biobloki (sp?)
Betts
Bjergfelt
Have to recheck for others as I only had a few mins to look at it.

Te only main team in force is UK Youth and some IG Sigma. Other than that, a scattered field of teams, quality riders none the less.

Yay - well done Shane! Usual BC South efficiency there putting the 2012 info up...

Any other names we'd know in the startlist?

Just recieved my race entry brochure, seems as though we were looking at 2012's form so I'm in along with the UK Youth team. One of 3 3rd cats (although really a 2nd of course!!!!)

I also noticed that Nathan is down as a 2nd cat which would have helped his entry. I think he's a 3rd this year though.

Never mind, cross race it will be. Since I helped build that course last weekend it will be nice to race on it.

Well spotted, I've brying to look for that or wait for a response from the organiser.

Shame as was really motivated to give it a go, next year probably won't happen either.

I'll probably cross race instead at the team champs in Lindfield.

Shane - you ought to double-check your entry in the Perfs. Out of curiosity I had a look at the startlist on the BC South website (southbc.org.uk) and Nathan is shown as a reserve but your name is nowhere to be seen...

Magnus Backstedt, Chris Opie, Yanto Barker et al raced it last year...don't be too hopeful of that club record being achieved this year.

Shane No pressure mate but if you win the perfs we would hold a club record for the most members of any one team to have won the race Very Happy Very Happy

Yeah I reckon so but it'll be a chance to race on the continent that I might not otherwise get.

Whilst on the subject of being outclassed, I might well have a place in this years Perfs too!

Those Frenchies riding fast? Pah, I'll show em!

For 6.5 euros entry and maybe free tunnel tickets, might be worth a giggle!

Shame it's the weekend after our Majorca trip or I'd have been up for taking a support/team car role - can't really envisage scoring another "away" so soon after the training camp...
