Great race today chaos, thanks to everyone who turned out to help and especially Mark for the effort needed to arrange it all. Plenty of thanks given by riders handing their numbers back in. One if the better races on the calendar as could be seen by the quality of the field who split a mainly strong bunch up so well.

Pats on the back all round.

I've got a bit of cake to bring.

If the racing is crap and we haven't sold much before the start, the lead car might just pull over and declare a Marie Antoinette moment; "let them eat cake" and we'll have a picnic instead.

Are we due at the Scout hut like normal? At 8am like before?

I'll do sign on like in the past, as it won't be that earlier for me... I'll have been up for hours anyway

I'll fish one out of the loft...

I've already made flapjack and brownie mostly all my own handiwork so I hope its ok. Not much of a master baker I'm afraid

Food - I'll be in London all day tomorrow which means I get no time to go shopping and bring the usual ham/cheese/tomato rolls and jam butties. Mrs Jones is going to be out all day as well. Best I can hope for is a cake from the local shop in Plumpton but don't depend on it.

I think we are nearly there just need to make sure the ass com is happy to drive them selves and we are good if not will have to grab another driver

Dougie Fox and his partner Martina have offered their help for the race. Dougie has driven lead car before if you need bit will chip in with any role needed otherwise. Martina will need to be with a more experienced marshall or in one of the easier duties as she's not done this before.

Potentially have another helper but will need to follow up with that one.

I've promised Tea and cake to cajol them to help out, guess that's the least we can do.

I've posted on the Crawley Wheelers to see if they can help, will ask Clare yo see if she can adjust her plans and can myself help in any capacity needed.

Is there any car insurance implications with being a car in the convoy?

I messed up hence the question marks for me, have now managed to take a days leave from work on Saturday this list needs to be longer i have a few phone calls to make but determined not to cancel again. If any of you are not on this list but can help or know some one that can please add the names. Its only a week away now I need a lead car, second lead car and assis comm car,
