The distinctive black-and-white Bayeux team jerseys can be seen at all the big events in the local cycling calendar with members competing in time trials, mountain biking, cyclocross and track meets.lechef wrote:http://whitechalkhills.cx/ worth a look minor point we are Bayeux cycling team not cycle:D The link works fine still

Re: Plumpton cyclo cross
Tape is being sponsored by Tidmas Townsend - a packaging company based in Eastbourne which is run by my good friend Marc Townsend and the stakes are being borrowed from the youth club - VC Jubilee in Brighton.

Thanks

Re: Plumpton cyclo cross
I am very grateful for the support - it makes the whole headache of organising that little easier to bear.

Thanks Mark
Please add Nathan to that list.
I have apologies from Rich M who will be away on holiday and Shane P. who is gallivanting around the world at the moment and so has a legitimate excuse :-)

Re: Plumpton cyclo cross
Brilliant, thanks Martin!
OK, 16, 17th and 19th are all good for me, so these are the dates up for grabs - who's coming and who can we count on for support on the day? A show of hands would be nice, thanks.

Count me in on the day and for the pub meet - any excuse for a beer! Next week is a bit crap but could do Monday 16, Tuesday 17 or Thursday 19 I think.

Re: Plumpton cyclo cross
The Half Moon at Plumpton might be better as I can walk you on to the College Campus to give you an idea of the area and the race course.
I can precis what is involved at the meeting but there are a couple of things to consider especially if there is a show of hands for volunteer support on the day:
Registration/Signing on Stewards
Start and Finish
Course Marshals
Catering
I believe we can run it with the help of 10 to 15 people. An idea of who is available to help out would be useful now as I can begin to recruit from friends and other clubs if necessary.
Thoughts or questions then just drop me a line.
Thanks
Mark

Re: Plumpton cyclo cross
It pains me to say this, but I'm on holiday on the 19th of October. Sorry, I won't be able to help. And I really wanted to as well.

Plumpton cyclo cross
Yes you did read it right Mark T is organising a cross event on behalf of Bayeux the date is confirmed as 19th October at Plumpton college. We need to have a meeting as soon as perhaps one evening in a pub in Lewes date to suit
